Ana Carrasco is a Master student in Integrative Physiology in the University of Barcelona. Currently, she is working as a research technician at the Neuromuscular Diseases Unit at Hospital de Santa Creu i Sant Pau.

In 2015, Ana was graduated in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Barcelona. In October of the same year, she joined the group after having completed the Academic Internship period and the Bachelor Thesis.

During her academic stay, she carried out dermatomyositis biomarkers research. Currently, she is contributing in several research lines such as: the identification of useful biomarkers for the diagnosis of patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and the analysis of miRNAs expression in this pathology and in other muscular dystrophies.
