HOW TO SUBMIT A SAMPLE FROM ABROAD?

Samples from countries outside the European Union must pass a customs approval process. BEFORE proceeding to the shipment, an essential procedure must be carried out without which the sample will not cross the border, with the risk that it may not be useful for the requested determination.

Once the sample is ready to be sent, Annex II and the pro forma invoice, attached hereto, with the data of the sending centre, must be filled in and sent to neuromuscular@santpau.cat, and wait for approval to be granted (usually one week).  When it has been granted, the sample can be sent. Once in customs, the customs agents must carry out the process of release, which entails an approximate cost of € 250 per shipment, so we recommend, if applicable, to attach several samples in which the determination is requested, in a same package (cost does not vary).

If the process is not carried out in this way we cannot guarantee the reception of the sample.
