As every year the World Muscle Society holds its annual congress on 1-5 October in Conpenhagen.
The Neuromuscular Diseases Unit of the Hospital de Sant Pau presents three studies related to muscular dystrophies. The presentations will be given by the pre-doctoral student Dr. Jorge Alonso, who will present three scientific posters of studies directed by Dr. Jordi Díaz.
The studies presented are as follows:
- European collaboration on clinical and genetic heterogeneity of sarcoglycanopathies
- Clinical data from a long homogenous cohort of OPMD patients with (GCN)15 expansion from Canary Island
- Spanish Pompe Registry: Baseline characteristics of first 49 patients with adult onset of Pompe Disease
Dr. Diaz Manera will give a talk at the plenary session of the congress entitled: “Accuracy of a machine learning muscle MRI-based tool for the diagnosis of muscular dystrophies”.
